Our traditional business model is based on the accomplishment of a home based business that grew large enough to meet its customers needs. There is a great need for an alternative other than what is out there, so a decision was reached to diversify our range. In addition to traditional cakes, the company has invested its 'dare to be different' style in its range of cakes which are derived from the USA and the Caribbean.

Simply Delicious Cakes and Pastries Ltd (better known as the Brixton Cake Shop) was started as a home based appointment only service for making and delivering of celebration cakes. Our cakes are made with only the finest and freshest ingredients. We are happy to bring you our delicious custom-designed cakes for all occasions at an extremely affordable price; we will work with you and ensure that your cake is unique, delicious and beautiful. We will match any price and still give you the best tasting products and service.

We will create a cake that is a delicious work of art you will never want to cut it. All of our cakes are made in house, the old fashioned way, using fresh, wholesome ingredients and products. For us, baking your cake is a piece of cake!

For over 25 years, Tariano who is better known as Kris has been meeting - and exceeding - the expectations of his customers. Whether your next event is a picnic, corporate meeting, special event, holiday, wedding or birthday party - from small meetings to company-wide events – Kris and his team has the experience and resources to make your next event truly memorable. 

Throughout London and even Birmingham (where we started) , we are best known for the unwavering commitment to excellence and attention to detail. Kris has run the business and has built his reputation upon a single premise - a promise to provide customers with exceptional service and quality down to the last detail.

From those humble beginnings, Kris has evolved into a household name as when people think cake they think Brixton Cake Shop, thus positioning itself as a major player in the Cake and Pastries industry. The shop features an array of delectable treats that are displayed and described on the pages of this website; the company's famous sponge and pound cakes, pastries, and a variety of other products.

Where we're going:

In October 2010 the business  moved onto the high street to a small unit in New Cross, a year later we moved down to Brixton where we needed a name that suggest all that we are and do; hence we started trading as Brixton Cake Shop. We have grown well and decided to keep our trading name regardless of locations. With intentions of opening locations across London, the Brixton Cake Shop is the name that everyone knows. Three years later we opened our main store in Herne Hill opposite Brockwell park in Herne Hill - Southeast London just a stone throw away from Brixton Store. We think it’s unique to expand to other areas of London; most of our customers are already intrigued by this move.

The company, (Simply Delicious Cakes and Pastries Ltd) having carved out a niche for itself in the hotly contested ethnic market, has moved from a little word of mouth Bakery to a city wide business and is making inroads into the fiercely competitive quick service market by selling subsidised grab n go products in store. With intentions of being one of the foremost Cake & Pastry business in the UK, Brixton Cake Shop has a mass consumer appeal, not only because of its delicious products and creative expertise we have done extremely well in the general market demographics, but because of our loyal consumer base which is proud to identify with a Caribbean concern that has successfully introduced the "down-home taste" of the islands to hundreds of consumers across the UK.

Brixton Cake Shop is currently undergoing a strong and steady growth and is considering entering into partnership with reputable businesses.

We have done very well with little or no advertising – we have been so busy watching our business grow just by word of mouth that we are truly grateful, and it’s at that time we were convinced we have been doing something right.
